Sixth stage of the Giro Rosa features challenging time trial
Today's Giro Rosa stage featured an individual time trial from Chiuro to Teglio. Although the course was only 12.1 km long, it went uphill right from the start until the riders reached the finish line. The first Bigla rider to roll off the start ramp at midday was Elizabeth Banks, followed by Nicola Noskova and her New Zealand teammate Mikayla Harvey. The final three team members to take on the fight against the clock were Leah Thomas, Elise Chabbey and Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig. The best time of 27:28:06 stood for quite some time but was bettered by Leah who reached the finish line with a solid time of 27:13:63, and with that, remained the best-placed Bigla rider. At the end of the day,with a time of 24:31:87, Annemiek van Vleuten claimed victory on the sixth stage of the Giro Rosa.
