Strade Bianche Preview
The UCI Women's WorldTour gets underway with one of the most anticipated races of the season on Saturday, Strade Bianche. The race features gravel sections making it a must-watch for fans.
Even though the men's edition is only in its 12th year and the women's race in its 4th, the Tuscan race has quickly become a favourite thanks to its challenging course.
The gravel sections make up more than 30 kilometres this year divided over eight sectors. The race finishes in Siena on the Piazzo del Campo.
The Cervélo Bigla Pro Cycling Team has enjoyed success in the past. Last year, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig announced herself to the cycling world by finishing inside the top 10 and taking the lead in the UCI Women's WorldTour youth category. Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio is the team's highest finisher in the race, placing fourth in 2015.
