A weekend of racing in Italy lies ahead for Bigla

Bigla has a busy weekend of racing in Italy coming up, with our riders competing at the Giro dell'Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite on Saturday, as well as the Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli Internazionale Donne on Sunday.

The sixth edition of theGiro dell'Emilia features a 98km-long route around Bologna. The parcours is almost exclusively flat, featuring two intermediate sprints at San Matteo della Decima and San Giovanni in Persiceto. The final 2km of the finale in Bologna are uphill, and essentially present the only uphill section of the race.

The next day, our riders will take on the Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli. The race consists of 79k, divided into several laps, which each feature an ascent at Zappolino (1.5km long with an average gradient of 5.3 percent). Two of these ascents are designated as QOM climbs, with there also being two intermediate sprints coming approximately 5km ahead of the crest of both of these QOMs.
