Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio put in an acceleration on the first long 9km gravel section. The move caused a 14-women lead group which would end up being the decisive move of the day
Moolman-Pasio was the team's leader for the day and did a great job in leading from the front.
Annemiek van Vleuten played a great role in being part of the lead group and continually putting in attacks when there was no cooperation from the lead group.
Moolman-Pasio was disappointed to miss out on the podium but was once again very happy with the team's performance and said everyone gave everything.
Van Vleuten and Moolman-Pasio congratulated each other on a great team performance. No top three on the day but the team showed great aggression which bodes well for the future.
