Vorschau - Frauen-Welttournee Ronde van Drenthe

The UCI Women’s World Tour continues on Sunday, 11 March in Ronde van Drenthe. The peloton contested the first race in Strade Bianche over gravel sections in Tuscany and now will turn its attention to cobbles as the Spring Classics ramps up.

The Vamberg will again feature with the climb raced four times. The total distance is 157 kilometres.

Finnish national champion Lotta Lepistö will take on a leader's role as she guides the young team.

“We are going there with 5 riders, so we have to be realistic with our expectations,” Lepistö said. “But I want to go and race as a team and try to make that first selection which I’ve not been able to make before then do my best in the final. It’s a long race and there are many opportunities to have a good race for us there.”

Clare Koppenburg and Nicole Hanselman will be familiar with the course as they've formed part of the team's line up in previous years in the race and will be supporting Lepistö again this year. New recruits Ann-Sophie Duyck and Emma Norsgaard Jørgensen will be looking to continue their impressive debut with the team this season.
