GP de Plouay-Bretagne, Final World Cup Round
The final round of the UCI World Cup takes takes place this Saturday. GP de Plouay-Bretagne will be the final decider in the season-long ranking system.
The race is one that Joëlle Numainville has done well in in the past, finishing in the top ten in 2011. The Canadian National champion has shown good form in recent weeks since finishing sixth overall in Thuringen Rundfahrt and twelfth in the Ladies Tour of Norway.
"Last time I did this race it was pretty good, I had a top ten. Obviously the circuit has changed now but this is my last race in Europe for the year so I am motivated," Numainville said.
“The form is there. In the last few races I’ve always been in the front. I am happy with that and I feel like I am on a good level. Plouay has some big roads for the sprints so it gives me confidence. My form is improving week by week. I don’t have any problem staying in the front.”
Numainville will be joined by Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, Clara Koppenburg, Doris Schweizer, Nicole Hanselmann and Sharon Laws.
