GP de Plouay line up – Sophie Wright debuts with Cervélo Bigla
UCI Women’s World Tour racing continues on Saturday, 25 August, in GP de Plouay - Lorient Agglomération Trophee WNT.
The French race as always takes place on a challenging circuit which features tough climbing. The race will be 125,5 kilometres and the Cervélo Bigla Pro Cycling Team will be looking to carry the momentum from podium places the team collected in Sweden and Norway recently.
New signing Sophie Wright will be making her debut while climbers Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio and Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig will lead the squad.
“We’re heading back to Plouay now after a successful block of racing in Scandinavia where we were on the podium of every race,” team manager, Thomas Campana said. “Plouay is a very complex race to get success in. Sophie Wright will start with us for the first time and we’re very curious to see how she will adapt to this new environment at the highest level of women’s cycling. Ashleigh and Cecilie are in very good shape so we have a chance and several options to go for the win.”
The route features four laps of the 27.7km circuit before finally negotiating one lap of 14.7 kilometres.
