Here’s how Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio keeps developing
You probably already know that Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio has had an impressive run of form lately but what you might not know is she's been working hard to keep improving and developing. Her results from 9-11 September in Giro della Toscana:
- 1st Prologue
- 3rd Stage 1
- 1st Stage 2
- 1st General Classification
Last weekend, she continued her impressive form in Giro dell'Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite by finishing second.
She did that after attacking on the steepest part of the climb.
“I’m doing things a little differently this year as I develop. I’m trying to ride more on instinct. This year, I’ve either been attacking at the bottom of climbs or halfway through. This weekend I tried to be more calm. I felt a moment when it was right to put in a move and I did and got a gap. It’s just about building that confidence to keep moving forward and work towards getting a bigger gap and winning these races solo.” - Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio
When announcing her contract extension for 2017-2018, Team Manager, Thomas Campana said…
“Ashleigh is already one of the best riders in the world but her development continues to grow. She is one of the best time trailists and stage racers in the world. The next step we have identified is to develop her skills for the one day races. We believe the best is yet to come from Ashleigh which is scary when you see how much she has achieved already.”
