We've been busy right from the first day of camp. We did a 4.5 hr ride with two climbs on the first day. Most of the girls used it to find the rhythm after missing days on the road due to snow at home. I preferred to do some workouts up the climbs so decided to test myself and went a little hard. We've all been enjoying the rides and especially the sun!

Girona has been a great location for our camp. Our Director, Manel Lacambra lives here and he knows a lot of the smaller quiet roads so we don't find any traffic. The roads are pretty calm and the cars take care of the cyclists; that's really nice.

The second day was a recovery day but I wanted to do a 4-day-block, so I went with Vera [Koodoeder] to a climb to do some short max efforts. After a short 3hr ride we went back to save some energy for a race the day after.

We did a local race where there were 250 men at the start line!! The course was up & down with a short climb in the last 5kms. The race was really hard and fast. Everybody had to go on their limit! For me it was a big challenge because I am not good in riding in a big bunch, so I spent a lot of energy riding on position 200 but I also felt very good in the climb; that was important and positive for me in this race. The level was pretty high as there were one or two professional men in the group as well.

Shelley Olds, Lotta Lepistö & I took the first three positions on the podium but all Bigla riders were up there in the mix too!

You can tell that we're getting close to the race season because everyone is starting to good on a good level.

Of course I've done the Tour of Qatar so far and I'm looking to start my European season on 7th March with Strade Bianche. A key goal for me is definitely the Giro Rosa & also Tour de l'Ardèche. But also Flèche Wallonne, the National RR and Worlds TTT & RR are big goals for me this season.
